NDSCS Strategic Goals 2007-08

  1. Identify new and existing academic programs with potential for enrollment growth and develop implementation plans.

    Performance Indicator: A minimum of three programs per year have been identified and implementation plans developed.

  2. Establish creative strategies to attract, develop, and retain employees.

    Performance Indicators: Employee satisfaction with employment improves from 73% on 2006 Campus Quality Survey. (Range for 2-year colleges in ND is 73-90%)

    Gap scores decrease on top ten questions with largest gaps on 2006 Campus Quality Survey with particular attention to communication, collaboration, and reward/recognition.

  3. Identify and procure additional funding and/or alternative sources to support priority needs.

    Performance Indicators: Alternative sources of funding increase by five. (Sufficient funds are raised through grants, donations, partnerships, or reallocation of funds to meet identified priority needs. Priority needs as identified in strategic goals or action plans, such as: curriculum enrollment growth, employee retention, technology, student support needs).

  4. Develop a college-wide comprehensive technology plan and a process for implementation.

    Performance Indicators: A Comprehensive technology plan is developed by June 2009. Process for developing plan by June 2008.

  5. Enhance support services to meet the changing needs of our students.

    Performance Indicators: NDSCS will be “at or above” the national mean in two additional scales of the SSI.

      Student Satisfaction improves as documented by selected indicators in Student Satisfaction Inventory.
     “So far, how has your college experience met your expectations?” NDSCS 4.86 National 5.06

      “Rate your overall satisfaction with your experience here thus far.” NDSCS 5.61 National 5.78

      “All in all, if you had to do it over, would you enroll here again?” NDSCS 5.57 National 5.96

AQIP Action Projects 2007-08

  1. Implement First Year Experience course and Intake Advising Model. (2007-09)

    Performance Indicator: Monitor the following performance measures: student satisfaction with FYE course, student satisfaction with advising, retention data, number of withdrawals fall semester in first six weeks compared to previous years.

  2. Develop and Implement an NDSCS Quality Program Initiative. (2007-December 2008)

    Performance Indicator: Improve in employee satisfaction scores, student satisfaction scores, and communication scores.

  3. Credit Enrollment – Are We Accessible? (2007-09)

    Performance Indicator: Increase dual credit, headcount of 25-49 age groups, and non-distance education credits.
