| Rita Erdrich and Barbara Nagle |

| Two worlds came together on April 13, 2004 at the North Dakota State College of Science Stern Cultural Center. Artist Rita Gourneau Erdrich, Wahpeton and Barbara Benda Nagle, Moorhead showcased their work. Nagle is an acquaintance of Erdrich from years back when she attended Wahpeton High School with Erdrich's son. Nagle is now teaching in Fargo. The two kept in touch and have met periodically through the years to paint together and had always talked of putting on a show. |

| Barb graduated from Wahpeton Senior High in 1975. Her art took a forward leap when the late Aimee Sanger of Wahpeton encouraged her to continue in the field. Her experiences as an artist/teacher have provided many opportunities to observe children, nature and life. Barb was quoted as saying "My artwork reflects the work with children as I have photographed and sketched them while working with them at the Circle of Nations." |

| Rita works in watercolor, pastels, oils, pencils and in some cases mixed media to give life to her ancestors, fur traders of long ago, voyageurs, buffalo hunters and farmers in the Great Lakes/Plains region. Most of her paintings are inspired by rare photos she collected through her studies of tribal genealogical history. |

| Grace Haverty |
|
| Artist in Residence Grace Haverty showcased her work on the campus of NDSCS August 27-September 4, 2003, with a reception being held on September 4, 2003 in the Stern Cultural Center. Grace is the daughter-in-law of former NDSCS President G.W. Haverty. Grace is a re noun artist working with Pastel Watercolor. She was most recently awarded the Bob Farley Memorial Award at the Arizona Watercolor Association Spring Membership Exhibition 2002. Grace and her husband Mike reside in Scottsdale Az, during the winter and Ottertail Lake in the summer. |

| Mick Dunn was featured during Homecoming 2003 as part of the Centennial Celebration. His work was on display from October 1 - 15, 2003. Michael (Mick) Dunn was born and raised in Fargo, ND. He is an 1974 alumni of NDSCS, also graduating from VCSU and earning his Master of Arts from MSUM. Michael has been a practicing professional artist and educator since 1975. Most recently his work was chosen to be placed in the permanent collection of the North Dakota Heritage Museum in Bismarck, ND. |
