WILLISTON, N.D. – The North Dakota State College of Science Lady Wildcats travelled to Williston State College on Sunday afternoon for the chance to advance to the NJCAA Region XIII Championship game to be held in Devils Lake. The Lady Tetons pulled this one out behind 10 three pointers by a score of 92-53.
Brittany Mayclin led the team in scoring with 13 points on 6-10 shooting. She also had three rebounds and three assists. The other double digit scorer was Alyssa Larson with 12 points. The leading rebounder was Natalie Giese with seven, while Megan Groen added six, and Ashlynn Fuller added five. Hannah Wenaas and Mayclin led the team with three assists. Leading WSC was Whitney Sundheim with 16 points.
The Lady Wildcats shot 38% for the game, including 2-8 from three. They were also 7-14 from the charity stripe. The Lady Tetons shot 51% overall, and 10-19 from three. They were also 8-18 from the line. WSC won the boards 43-40.
NDSCS finishes the season 15-15 on the year. They finished Mon-Dak play at 7-7.
