Jane Passa is entering her tenth year as head coach of the NDSCS volleyball program. With a coaching record of 263-108, Passa finished the 2007-08 season with Mon-Dak Conference, District O and Region XIII titles and a birth to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. During her tenure as head coach, the Wildcats finished Region XIII runners-up in 1999, 2000, 2004, 2005 and 2006, and were Mon-Dak champions in 2006 and 2007. Passa lead the Wildcats to another successful season in 2001 as NJCAA Division II National runners-up and District G and Region XIII champions. Coach Passa was selected Mon-Dak Conference Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2007, along with District O and Region XIII Coach of the Year in 2007. In 2001, she was named District G and Region XIII Coach of the Year. The Wildcats are on pace for another successful season in 2008 with goals of competing for the Region XIII championship and another trip to the national tournament. Coach Passa comes to NDSCS after teaching and coaching at North Dakota State University, where she helped lead the Bison to runners-up in the 1998 National Division II Collegiate Women's Volleyball Tournament. She also served as an assistant coach at Minnesota State University-Moorhead for two years. Passa earned her bachelor's degree from the University of North Dakota and master's from North Dakota State University. Along with coaching and teaching duties at NDSCS, she serves as director of athletics and chair of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department. Jane and her husband, Jayme, have two daughters. |

Lindsey Wasland is entering her first season as assistant coach for the NDSCS Women’s Volleyball Program. Lindsey however is no stranger to NDSCS she has spent two seasons here as a player and one season as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. Lindsey played collegiate basketball two seasons at North Dakota State College of Science where she was named on the Mon-Dak All Conference twice, All-Region XIII twice, 2004 Mon-Dak Conference MVP, and 2005 NJCAA All-American. Last season Lindsey spent one year as the Assistant Coach for NDSCS women’s basketball program. The team was Mon-Dak Conference champions, Region XIII champions, and finished with a record of 23-9. Lindsey received a A.A degree in liberal arts and is currently finishing a B.S. degree in human performance and fitness at North Dakota State University. “We are very excited to bring Lindsey’s collegiate experience to our team, she has a strong passion to compete and a burning desire to win that will rub off on the girls,” said Head Coach Jane Passa. “Her loyalty and love for NDSCS is unmatched and will be a huge tool in recruiting future Wildcats.” |
