Cooperative Education

Cooperative Education offers students the opportunity to integrate career, social, and personal development into the educational process. The cooperative education program allows students to integrate the classroom study with a paid work experience related to their field of study. It is recommended that students have successfully completed one year of academic study before beginning a cooperative education experience.
You may participate in cooperative education two times while attending NDSCS, each time earning one to five credits, therefore, you may earn up to ten credits. The credits earned for cooperative education will be recorded on the student's transcript. The credits earned will give the student a decided advantage when seeking employment after graduation.
A minimum of 162 hours at a work site is required to earn one semester credit; 324 for two semester credits; 486 for three semester credits; 648 for four semester credits; and 810 for five semester credits.

Grades are S for satisfactory, U for unsatisfactory.
Participants in cooperative education are always paid.
