The Electronics Technology Advisory Committee is made up of individuals currently working in industry and assists the Electronics department in making curriculum suggestions that would greatly benefit the students. All Electronics graduates must have strong computer hardware and operating system knowledge as well as their Electronics Circuits knowledge to be employable in today’s advanced industries. Because of this we have implemented a Laptop -Notebook requirement for all students in the Electronics Technology program. The Electronics department is excited about this change to the curriculum as it promises our employers the expertise needed for employment in today’s work place.

Laptop notebooks closely matching these requirements could be purchased for approximately $1,000. Additional costs could arise for personal preferences.

The software needed for your Electronics coursework is packaged with the textbooks purchased at the NDSCS Bookstore. Windows 2000, XP, or similar operating system is suggested. Also, a Windows Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point) is required.
