The vision of Mathematics and Science department is to support a community of learners through:
Faculty who have a mastery of their subject, strive to continually improve course content and methods of instruction, are willing to entertain new ideas and technology while fostering the fundamentals.
Students who are inspired to give their best and will be capable and adaptable in the changing occupational environments.
Mathematics and Science Facility
Haverty Hall houses a number of administrative departments and divisions, including the President's Office - on its first floor. Two academic departments: Mathematics and Science, and English and Humanities - are located on the second floor of the L-shaped building.
Haverty Hall was built in 1963-1964 at a cost of $750,000. It is named for G.W. "Bill" Haverty, fifth president of NDSCS. The building also includes faculty offices, classrooms, the Administrative Affairs division, the Academic Affairs office, the Business Office, Human Resources, Enrollment Services and Assessment and Research.
