Automated Manufacturing Technician

The Automated Manufacturing Technician curriculum is designed to provide students experience in automation as it pertains to manufacturing and processing.

This program provides education and training in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, mechanical, fluid power systems, automated manufacturing, human relations, communications, and other aspects of general education.

Career opportunities offer a wide range of employment possibilities in the manufacturing, processing, production, mining, building management, hotel, hospital and service-related industries. Recent placement has been 100 percent.

Admission requirements

The applicants must be high school graduates or equivalent. Helpful courses to prepare for this program are industrial shop courses, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, science, computer literacy, drafting and communications.

Applicants may be required to complete a basic skills evaluation during the admissions process.

Award

Upon successful completion of the required courses, students will be awarded an Associate in Applied Science degree in Automated Manufacturing Technician.
