EMPLOYMENT FOR HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNICIANS

Graduates of this program may seek employment in hospitals, mental health facilities, nursing homes, health insurance companies, rehab facilities, medical clinics, review/research organizations, consulting firms, vendors, and health maintenance organizations.

Placement: Graduate placement is excellent. The demand is also excellent. Placement services are provided by the college placement office.

NDSCS Career Services

Certifications: RHIT- Registered Health Information Technician. (Associate degree required)

Upon completion of the program the graduates are eligible to take the national certification examination through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Successful completion of this examination results in the gradaute being awareded the credentials, Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
