Financial Aid Estimates
The NDSCS Financial Aid office uses a combined on- and off-campus budget which includes the estimated amounts already mentioned for tuition, fees, books and supplies. For room and board purposes, $5,247 has been used for the 2008-09 year. This is the equivalent of a private room on campus, along with a 300 Dining Plan. Along with this, $3,099 is budgeted for personal expenses, miscellaneous expenses and travel. For those students who are living at home and commuting, standard budgets are the same for tuition and fees, books and supplies. However, the amount budgeted for personal expenses, room and board will be about $8,346 for North Dakota residents.
The above figures do not include costs for dependent care, unusual medical expenses or other out-of-the-ordinary expenses. These situations can be discussed with the Enrollment Services office.
The above tuition and fee structure will be assessed to students carrying 16 credits. Tuition is charged on a per-credit basis at $134.01 per credit for North Dakota residents.
Other options are available for room and board, including both single and double room arrangements. The single rate for one year is $649 higher than the double room. Contact Dining Services for details on various dining plan arrangements.
All estimates are subject to change at any time, though they usually remain in effect for an entire academic year. Please contact individual offices for more detailed information.
