Resident for Tution Purposes
Students qualifying for North Dakota residency status must meet one of the two following criteria:
• A person whose custodial parent, guardian or parents have been a legal resident of North Dakota for 12 months immediately prior to the beginning of the academic term; or
• A person age 18 or older who has been a legal resident of North Dakota for 12 immediate months prior to the beginning of the academic term.
