| Section 107 - Faculty Oath | |

| Purpose: To affirm a faculty member's support of the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of North Dakota and will faithfully discharge his/her duties of position, according to the best of his/her ability. | |
| Policy: | |
| Every member of the academic staff at university system institutions, before entering upon the discharge of their duties, shall execute the oath or affirmation required by N.D.C.C. 15-37-02. The oath shall be executed in duplicate and one copy shall be filed in the employee's personnel file and one copy given to the academic staff member. | |
| Procedure: | |
| Before the academic staff member begins employment, they must sign the Academic Oath form in Human Resources. | |
