All 12-month Officers of the Institution, Deans, VP's earn 24 days per year. All other 12-month faculty and staff earn leave based on years of service. Faculty on academic year appointments (less than 12 months) do not earn annual leave. Employee may carry over 240 hours each year and must use 40 hours in year. |

| * Family Medical Leave |

This is an unpaid leave of absence for up to 12 weeks with health benefits provided (at the same level and coverage) by NDSCS. Family leave is available for the birth, adoption, or foster placement of a child or for the serious health condition of the employee, the employee's parent, child or spouse. |
