| NDSCS is located in Wahpeton, a city of 8,586 in the southeast corner of North Dakota. The seat of Richland County, Wahpeton is located at the headwaters of the Red River of the North. | Wahpeton is located about 25 miles west of Interstate 94 in Minnesota and about 10 miles east of Interstate 29 in North Dakota. The Fargo-Moorhead market and Hector International Airport are 50 miles north of Wahpeton. The Twin Cities of Minnesota – Minneapolis and St. Paul – are an easy, three-hour drive east. Sioux Falls, S.D., is about the same driving time to the south, and Winnipeg, Manitoba, is just a little longer drive north. |
