The Mildred Johnson Library, centrally located north of Old Main, offers a variety of resources including books, scholarly or trade journals, newspapers, magazine articles, Internet access and more. It contains more than 150,000 items, and provides the advantage of also using resources from other libraries in North Dakota, the region or around the world. Students, faculty and community members are invited to study, search for information, use the computers or simply read newspapers or books for relaxation.
Students can access library resources using their student ID card as their library card, it will help you to gain access to electronic databases as well as books. Follow the Resource link to find a wealth of material for assignments and personal enrichment.
The library is set up for optimal use of all its resources. Comfortable chairs as well as library tables invite students to read and work. Computers with Internet access and Microsoft Office software are available on a first come first serve basis. Group study rooms have electronic media players for group or individual viewing. In addition, library services include a fax machine, a scanner, copiers and connection to the campus wireless network.
During the school year, hours are generally 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday and 5 to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Watch for holidays and other closings. Contact the library for specific questions by calling (701) 671-2298 or (701) 671-2618.
