| This course provides instructional material for plumbers and pipefitters who must develop the ability to interrupt trade blueprints and to plan the installation of the required plumbing for residential and commercial construction. This course covers: blueprint reading and sketching; pipe drawings; reading the architect's scale; laundry trays and floor drains in basement plans; kitchen and bathroom floor plans; rough-in for kitchen sink, lavatory, water closet combination and bathtub with shower; fundamentals of isometric drawings; aids to drawing isometric pipe drawings; dimensioning; plumbing codes for waste and vent piping; waste and vent for kitchen sink and two lavatories; three lavatories to a single stack; soil stack, waste and vent piping for water closet and lavatory; three fixture bath on one wall; bathroom fixtures on opposite walls; four fixture bath; two bathrooms: back to back; bathroom and kitchen fixtures into one stack; wall hung toilet; men's toilet room - slab on grade; interpreting residential blueprints; and commercial building blueprints. |
