Web course directions (pdf)
You have enrolled in a course with electronic delivery option. You will find several things that are different from courses that you may have taken previously from us. First, if you choose to use the internet, you need to go to the web address: http://learn.aero.und.edu/htmlez. We find that Internet Explorer works the best to access this site. When you reach this url you will find a login button in the upper right hand corner. Click on the login and it will have an option on the left to create an account. Click "create a new account". You will be asked to create a user name and password. Write the username and password down so you don't forget them. Fill in the information for AFFILIATION; make sure you choose North Dakota State College of Science not HTMLEZ. Click "create new user" on the bottom of the page when you are done. The next step is to click the login button. Enter your new username and password, and click "login". You will be taken to your control center. On this page choose Browse. If you have a page that shows HTMLEZ, choose North Dakota State College of Science. On North Dakota State College of Science page click Related Study, and then click on the course that you want to take. A message will say that you do not have permission to take the class. Click on request access and you will be enrolled by the Related Study Program as soon as possible. E-mail us (at the address below) and let us know when you are ready to start. You will need to go back to your "control center" to access your class once you have been enrolled.
When you receive your book(s), check to see if you have the right book(s) as given on your instruction sheets. If everything matches, you can start on your course. We encourage you to complete the assignments on the hardcopy and then enter your answers in the electronic course. This minimizes the chance of losing your work and having to start over if your internet connection is lost. Having your work on paper will also decrease the time you need to spend on the internet which can save on internet provider charges. Follow the directions in your instruction sheets on the Internet and check the "instructor helps" area for assistance with the coursework.
If you find that the instructions are not clear, please contact our office before you start your course. Please call 1-800-342-4325, ext. 2177 or you can e-mail us from within the e-course or at Russell.Karlgaard@ndscs.nodak.edu . Upon satisfactory completion of this course, we will send you a "Certificate of Completion".
