A decision concerning the acceptance of transfer students will not be made until an official transcript has been received from the institution the student previously attended.
Transfer students must meet assessment criteria unless previous college records indicate satisfactory completion of first-year college English and math courses with a grade of ‘C' or better.
Transfer students suspended from other institutions will not be permitted to enroll in the liberal arts programs until the same conditions are met as the suspending institution would demand to reinstate the students. Students who are suspended for scholastic reasons may be considered for enrollment in the career programs if all other conditions are acceptable.
NDSCS will transcript all coursework from all regionally accredited institutions previously attended. Comparable courses from institutions and organizations that are accredited by an association recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or U.S. Department of Education shall be reviewed for transferability according to institution policies for vocational programs. The student's grade point average at NDSCS is an institutional grade point average for all residential credits only.
For students beginning their enrollment at NDSCS, transfer credits will not be included in student's grade point average. Prior to this semester, a student's grade point average did include transfer credits.
