| Collaborative Student Registration | |
| A collaborative student is one who is currently enrolled at more than one North Dakota University System (NDUS) institution for a particular term. The institution from which the student is earning a degree is considered the "home institution." The institution that supplies courses for a degree is considered the "host institution." | |
| The collaborative process allows the home campus to combine credit from more than one NDUS institution for the purpose of financial aid. For the collaborative student, this process produces a single billing statement and an automatic transfer of your academic record from the host institution to the home institution. | |
| To use this page to register, you must be planning to earn your degree from North Dakota State College of Science, but will be taking a course(s) at another NDUS institution within the same term. North Dakota State College of Science is your home institution and the other NDUS institution is your host institution. Therefore, you must be a fully admitted student and seeking a degree from North Dakota State College of Science. | |
| Collaborative Student application form | |
| Read the following information carefully. Students are responsible for observing the information on this page. | |
| 1.) Due to the processing time for collaborative registrations, you are strongly encouraged to submit your registration request before the term begins. Collaborative registrations must be submitted before the end of the seventh instructional day in a term. Absolutely no registrations will be accepted after that date. | |
| 2.) As a collaborative student, you must follow the drop and withdrawal policies of North Dakota State College of Science for all courses including those taken collaboratively at other institutions. | |
| 3.) Your tuition for collaborative courses must be paid to North Dakota State College of Science. | |
| 4.) Once you have completed this form, the North Dakota State College of Science collaborative coordinator will contact the host institution where you want to take your course and request that you be registered. | |
| 5.) Completion of this form does not guarantee registration into the requested course(s). If the request(s) cannot be processed, you will be notified by e-mail or phone. | |
| 6.) Once approved, the host institution where you will be taking the course will contact you by e-mail and confirm registration. It may take 1 to 2 weeks to receive a confirmation e-mail. | |
| 7.) The credits taken as a collaborative student are essentially transfer credits from the Provider institution and do not count towards the requirement to earn at least 16 semester hours of institutional credit from NDSCS. | |
| 8.) Your credits from all institutions will automatically be transferred to NDSCS at the end of the semester. | |
