Fees and Expenses

NDSCS is on the semester system. This means the student will pay major expenses at the beginning of each semester – September, January and June.

On-campus students pay tuition and fees at the following rates:

North Dakota resident, $135.09 per credit
Minnesota resident, $158.67 per credit
South Dakota, Montana, Saskatchewan and Manitoba residents, $163.15 per credit
WUE (Western Undergraduate Exchange - states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming) $191.22
Other Non-Residents & Other Canadian Providences $322.53

Online and other distance education students pay tuition and fees at the rate of $176 per credit.

* The average amount for fees is $552 for all states. The remainder is tuition for an average of 16 credits per semester.

**The most common arrangement is a double room $1,702 with a block of 160 meals each semester $2,378 totaling $4,080; However, the above figure of $5,464 is a single room $2,370, with a block of 300 meals each semester $3,094. Other available dining plans include a block of 80 meals each semester $1,338 or a block of 225 meals per semester $2,472. All rates are for two semesters.
